Default New 27 Daytona w/Twins Delivered

Lots of outboard activity around the shop lately. Just took this beautiful 27 Daytona to it's new owner in Havasu on Friday...

300 Mercs with 34p Cleavers....should run 115 after break-in.

What kind of speeds are you getting with the twins?

The canopies look good on that boat.

Hey Shueman. On my 27,the only one you've ever sent to Australia.Your shop forgot to connect the GPS recall.I was sent the Recall/Erase switch which i fitted and wired as per instructions but i still can't get it to work.It seems to erase but won't recall.I've checked the wiring 10 times,it's okay. Can you ask around the shop for any ideas.Do i have to program it or something?

This boat ran 106 mph at 5000 rpm. It is still in break in mode and we will let you know the magic number once the motors are broken in.

There are two things I can think of. The first one is that you have a bad switch, never had a bad switch my self. The second is a wiring problem. First lets go over the colors, you should have 3 wires a gray (Recall), purple, and orange (Ease).

If you have a Carling switch it will have 3 prongs and it will be reverse polarity, the gray wire will go on the side that says Erase, the orange wire will go on the side that says Recall, and the purple in the center.

If you don’t have a Carling then you will have a black switch with 6 prongs on the back. This switch you hook up different, you will install the gray wire on the Recall side, the orange on the Erase side and the purple in the center. Make sure all 3 of them are on the same row of prongs.

You might have the wrong instructions for the switch you have. Run your boat, stop (make sure your key is still on) and press recall, if the needle goes all the way down then the wires are backwards, so just switch the orange and the gray wires and run your boat then try it again.
