Default 25 Daytona Power and Drives

What are some of the (big) powerplants and drives you folks are running in your 25 daytonas?

I am really curious about the fitment of ilmores, bigger teague motors & Merc 700 SCi + ....

I ran a warmed up 500efi with a black hawk drive on mine.Runs 90. Building a blower motor for it now but no idea how it will run then. I expect around 110 to 115. I have seen many with big power and every conceivable bravo style drive used. Seen two with #5 drives and one with a #6.

I'm running a built up supercharged 502 pushing 700 HP and 102 mph on a stock bravo. Just had to pull the drive and have the upper rebuilt at 145 hrs. I've got a couple of buddies running 25 daytona's with 625 Ilmore's on stock bravos with no problems. If you are wanting to run 700 HP and up, I would recommend going with a XR drive.

I called eliminator today and they told me that a Ilmore 710 would fit no problem. I am thinking about adding in full hydralic steering with a 710 and a teague platinum drive with a 1" shorty lower w/o an extension box. Anyone have any ideas on how that setup would run?

I have a blown 572 with 14-71 supercharger boats went 117with more boost, solid roller cam, race gas, 28 pittch prop and built bravo with 1.36 gears with low conservative x demension. I since put hydralic roller lowered boost bigger 32 pitch prop, pump gas and I got it up too 102 but ran out of lake . Im sure It would of gone 106mph. Than the drive blew up finally after I lowered the boost even more. Now I am putting on a new xr sportmaster 2 inch shorty with 1.36 and 32 pitch prop. Hoping for at least 110. I had a cone on the last drive but I had to trim the heck out of it to get the nose up . I was told that the nose cone starts to become inefficient with you have to trim it up that much basically it starts to drag like a shovel. Well see
