So I'm not the only one. Well, I like the boat but I can't stand that kind of service. Will do the right thing and give them one more chance...

I want the go@ dA@$ hour meter discrepancy statement that I was promised when I purchased my boat 2 months ago. I have been very, very nice up until this point. The detail girl left my boat ignition turned on for 2 days before it shipped, thus putting 52 incorrect hours on it. This was stated in the ad (and Karl's emails, which i have), so there's no dispute over it, but I need it for my title/registration info. I have called 3 times, and sent an email as well. This will only take 5 minutes. I keep getting excuses...busy, no reply, etc. Shueman, you have always been alot of help to me on the boards, and I thank you for that! As a business owner myself, I feel that Bob needs to know that his people are not getting the easy stuff done. So, I will mail this reply to him personally as well. As I write this, I feel like Eliminator got my money and kicked my azz out the door. My boat left california with NO LIGHTS on the trailer, and numerous other very simple problems (like the radio not working, etc.) which I said NOTHING about. I understand that it was Easter Friday, etc. But it was such an easy fix. Thank god the delivery girl was so careful, and I happily paid her extra hotel bill because she couldn't drive at night (I understand she was blamed for this too, what a shame). Shue, I am not a complainer, but this should not result in a cash-paying, easy to deal with customer getting pissed off about a stupid piece of paper, and ruining a valuable relationship. Everybody has a limit, and I've hit mine. This was my first Eliminator, and could be my last (I stress could). The next contact Eliminator receives will be from my attorney, if that paper is not on my fax by Wednesday afternoon. Not to mention what the forums will look like. All for what? A piece of paper. How stupid. I have tried to handle this the RIGHT way but it ain't working. I emailed a FOURTH time yesterday, through E-zone, I can be reached through that. Karl is well aware of how to reach me. He had no problem cashing my check for the boat, so a piece of paper should be easy enough. BTW, my $150 worth of ezone product I ordered 3 weeks ago is a no-show, and I've heard nothing on that either...What's goin on out there!!?? :hitfan: |
I see davescustomboats.com as a dead domain. I get a parking page not a real website.

who here in oklahoma said you had to have a hour meter discrepancy statement? I don't see any place even on the titles for hours.
|
Good luck with E-ZONE, they have owed me about 65 bucks for about 5 years. I had ordered shirts which they advertised in my size, but was told it was a misprint. No shirts, no refund.
|
Wow!!! That's too bad that you've had this kind of experience. I have purchased 2 Elims in the past 2.5 years and have experienced outstanding service.
Maybe the move into the new building is causing them some "adjustment" challenges??? Did you speak w/Jake or Tony? I would think they could get this resolved fairly quickly for you. I see Schueman is engaged, hopefully he can get his escalated for you quickly. It's unforutnate that you've had to endure this, they have a great product, and it's always felt like they bent over backwards for me on my 2 purchases. I had a pretty non-standard deleivery (they delivered the boat to me in Havasu while I played for a month, then shipped it to NY for me after Desert Storm -and the hole time they were very responsive on resolving the minor things that were needed...at one point Bob even personally came down to my dock at the London Bridge and delivered some additional pin cleats. If you haven't done so already, I'd ask to speak to Jake. |
oh boy... if you only knew about my experience when I bought mine... I couldnt believe the $hit that was happening to me. Eventually Kenny took care of me. I definitly had a nice long thread going tho... I like my boat so much ill pretend it never happened but man was a very unhappy customer at the time. They should send us free T-shirts or something haha

I here ya on the hour meter, I just got my new Eliminator a few days ago, the hour meter read 42 because someone left the key on also, I didnt really care I just orderd a new hour meter!!! not one complaint though, I love Eliminators
|
What I want to know is, how does someone "leave" the ignition on? Doesn't that constant beeping of the warning buzzer let them know? I mean it isn't like it's quiet or anything.

thanks shuemann

I cannot just put a new hour meter in the boat, as others have suggested, because 1) that's not honest, and 2) the boat was not brand new-it already had approx 150 hours. And the buzzer did not work, which was another one the items I never complained about, i just fixed it myself. So yes, she never knew the boat was turned on.. G, the number of hours on the boat can greatly affect the resale value. Lord knows it's hard enough to sell a performance boat these days. The title may not list the actual hours, but a surveyor will, and my insurance company needs that info as well. Like I said, I will give them an opportunity to fix this little issue, and I'm not bashing the product. I like the boat, but sometimes ya gotta crack the whip when people dont get it done.... |
since it seems to be a newer boat.......anyone with a scan tool can hook up to the computer and read the true hours on the engines....hour meters arent anything more then a visual reminder of when to change oil if you get enough use out of the boat during the season... IMHO... :)

I support this board plenty through the purchase of parts from advertisers, who in turn buy advertising...the way it should work. And if "financial dealings" were not allowed on here, wtf is the classified section doing here? My point was, I'm not signing up just so I can get my "financial dealings" taken care of. I already paid Eliminator "the going rate" for that. People also use this forum to know how boat manufacturers and parts people are handling their "financial dealings", ergo the "trick marine" scandal. Mmmmkay beavis??:angry-smiley-038:
And, my boat has a 525sc, so no computer..thought about that one already. By the way, thanks to Shuemann Eliminator did call today and I got the proper documentation. And, they asked why I just didn't call? lol. Guess I shoulda called 5 times, instead of 4. Still haven't heard anything about my ezone gear though. Think I'll just cancel the @#$ transaction on my card. Really frustrating....Again, I like the boat but you'd think Eliminator would WANT people pimping their gear at the lakes here in the midwest, but I guess not. It's a Baja world out here, unfortunately. The guys in the shop make a great boat at Eliminator, but it sounds like the front of house needs a bit of "work". |
pasquesi - I bet most of the people on this site are not paid subscribers.
The site would still be here without subscribers. The advertizing would support the site if needed. |
This matter has been settled...okeagle25, please delete this thread...:cool-smiley-011:

Shueman, I will delete this thread if you can tell me how. I have looked, and must be missing it. And the issue is not quite closed as far as I'm concerned. My ezone order is still unaccounted for. Sounds like other people on this board are having similar issues. If Bob doesn't want to sell shirts and hats, either credit my card or let me know what the F@#$ to do. DAMM this is frustrating. :signs069: |
Click EDIT button, then DELETE button...:cool-smiley-011:
Call 951-681-1222 and talk to Christi at the reception desk. She will help get your order issues resolved...have all your order information available. Also, ask if Brandie is there so that you can talk with her directly. She has been very busy with putting the new facility together. After this week's shipments, it's on "full-tilt" to get the factory re-located from Mira Loma to Perris....GRAND OPENING Celebration in the planning stages for mid-June...:cool-smiley-026: |

Every boat builder has there issues, but when a guy travels half way across the US just because he's got to have an Eliminator, Then spends his $ and gets treated like this I mean WTF.
Just from a marketing point of view, This guy is from Baja country. What a great way to get your names out there. As a boat builder in a crapy economy would'nt you want to take care of this dude. Dave's Custom Boat probably only sells 35-45 per year, and IMO builds a little bit better boat, but service wise Far better. A word to the wise If you have to have an Eliminator, bypass the factory and go to one of thier dealers Horison motorsports, or semper marine WHEN I GET RID ON MINE, MY NEXT 300K + GOES TO DCB |
Sun
Ouch. To be fair, Eliminator did get my discrepancy report faxed to me. And the factual truth is that they do build a super nice, a+ product, i don't think you can deny that. Their boats are unique and turn heads everywhere. Based on that alone, I would consider another Eliminator. But I also think that whoever answers phones, handles paperwork, sells shirts, etc, must be equally strong. In mine and others' experiences with Eliminator, this is not the case.
Enough about this matter, hopefully this thread will get axed very soon. I truly wasn't trying to make a big deal of it, but it's a shame you have to air out your issues to get them resolved. Bottom line: great boat, but with the exception of shuemann, everytime i called i felt like a nuisance. Not good, especially with so many choices out there. I'm done...headin to the lake to beat up on some big twin bajas!!!WISH I HAD SOME Tshirts to wear, lolol:cool-smiley-027: |
Good to hear...have fun on the water..!! :cool-smiley-011:

To Be Fair
To be fair thier are a few guys that are very helpful.
Kenney, chewi, Dan(sales) and of corse Shue. It's just like anything, a few guys mess it up. The reason people get so pissed is because Eliminator makes a great boat. probably best Bang 4 the Buck$, in a performance cat. If the boats were Sucky, no one would care. Don't mean to be a hater. I love my boat and I love the fact that I live 15 min from the new factory, easy for service or parts. Hey shue, How about you put together an E-Zone suggestion box ? Delete the hate mail, and get to the heart of any issues. Just a suggestion, New web page looks great. M2Cents |

Just a suggestion, New web page looks great. M2Cents Just like going in the "back door" of a fancy resturant, you'd be suprised (well, maybe not :p) at what goes on behind the scenes...quite comical, at times. What continues to AMAZE me is the craftmanship of the individuals that build these boats. Absolutely NOTHING (well, almost) they can't do with resin and gelcoat. I've been working on the new website, updating the images and correcting the data. It's far from done, but will be quite "interactive" when fully functional. www.eliminatorboat.com They have designed in a BLOG area, an email area, Login ability, etc....:cool-smiley-011: Suggestions have been put forward to have a "forum" type area for customers and guests...(oh boy, just what we need, another website to visit and post up...:D) This will give the public a place to express/discuss Eliminator and other boating related topics. OSO is one of the Premiere On-Line Boating Forums. I feel fortunate the Eliminator has me participating here on their behalf. EVERYONE at the company reads the threads and posts in this Forum. Jake, Kenny, Fear, Tony, Johnnie, Bob and Brandie (yep) and many others associated with Eliminator. Your feedback is in-valuable to our continued growth as a manufacturer of custom boats. Keep It Comin'....:cool-smiley-026: Gary / shueman |
