Have not been to water since last post. Getting new msd box today & putting on so can go out this weekend. I talked to everyone & think I am going to get a 1" imco shortie lower. The battle I am fighting is I have a big/heavy bowrider in front, most don't. Jerry (at eliminator) said he thought I could only get by going up 1 more inch & after checking into this I think I agree. Anyone out with input on drive heigtht??

Elimi and other 26 owners. Been off the board for many weeks. My 26 is running very well, still trying to work out low water pressure, which makes engine oil run hotter than I like it to. Which make my oil pressure run lower. Never less than 30lbs. Boat runs 92 to 94 mph on GPS. 502 mag with a Whipple. Now that summer here. Lets here from more 26 owner and 25 owner.

Good to see you got it running. I am fighting bowrider weigth & not enought air to engine comparment. What is your X dim. Best way for us to compare it to look at top of drive housing (part attached to transom & measure to bottom of rub rail. Mine is 2", & was told that 1" was too high when eliminator tried it. I have standoff box but bowrider weight is giving me fits, getting too much transom lift & no bow lift. Boat runs faster full of fuel & plenty of people in boat, then empty. I got different prop to try this weekend so will see what that will do. Had best of 104 about 2 month ago. With hot air temp, Humidity, & hot water have lost about 14 mph. Sure hurts trying to get it dialed in with weather & water keep getting hotter.

Please tell us more about your set-up! How did you massage the whipple set-up (I'm running same boost on my Whipple/454 mag)
I tried a hydromotive 26 4 blade the first year I had the boat (stock drive and x on my twin step 25) and I could not even get on plane with 4 people in the boat (never tried it with less weight)

Turbojack @ Cattitude : The set is as followed. Stander bravo 1.36R, PRI HD top cap, hydromotive nose cone, no stand off box, high X but never measured it. Jerry May said not to go any higher. But still would like to try a 2 inch shorty. RPM were 5300 to 5400 hard to tell. Seas were 18 inch chop 74% vary low humitity. The prop didn't get me on plan very well.
