25 EAGLE EXP, any info please come in!!!!!
ok, i have been looking for a boat, i have always loved Eliminator, baja, sutphen and checkmate so thats what i have been searching for.
checkmate is pretty much out because to get a good ZT i need to get a 28 and there to much $$ for me.
the Sutphen is to hard to find one for a good price that doesnt need work, so i have realy focused on eliminator 25 and 26
and baja 25 outlaw.
well, i came across a 97 25 eagle single 502 mag
400 hours
fresh water boat, one owner (older guy)
looks clean in pics (im going to look in person if you guys fill me in)
info on the boat is limited so im just wondering how this boat would compare to a 25 outlaw? how do they handle? this would be a lake and ocean boat.
are they a true 25 foot or 23 plus swim plat?
what is the deadrise?
how is the freeboard compared to an outlaw?
drop down bolsters?
do they porpous?
what kind of cruz and top speed could i hope for?
how heavy is the boat.
any info you guys can set me up with will decide if i scoop this boat or not.
i would love to by bigger or newer but my budget is limiting and this is the best boat i thnk i have found for the $$ but i have never been in one or even seen one. my old man has a 25 outlaw so i know those very well and i have been in a single screw 30 eliminator (UNREAL!!!!!!!!!) but that was about 10 years ago.
thanks guys.

The eliminator has a pad, and a stepped hull. I would not consider the 25 eagle to be a deep v. Therefore, in my opinion is not an ocean boat. Bajas are easier to drive, seeing how it is a deep v. Baja outlaw would handle the waves better, but will not have the top end of the 250 eagle. It's a trade off.

They are a true 25 not a 23 with a 2ft swim platform.
I would have to estimate top speed at 68-72 with the 502 (correct me if I'm wrong)
I agree with cloudmaster that it is a trade off for the Baja that handles the rough a bit better or the Eliminator that would have a higher top speed.
Trim Tabs would be benificial for sure.

after some searching and calling eliminator i decided against the boat.
22* deadrise, sit down only no tabs and they said it is messured with the platform, they said anything molded to the boat its the law to be messured with it. so here in mass on the ocean a 23 foor 70+mph 22* boat will not cut it. even tho it is BAD ASS. i need to find a 28, but now we are talking to much coin. looks like my search for a 25 or 29 outlaw or a 26 sutphen continues
thanks allot for the info
