[QUOTE=fastlane40;2641715]You will need 880hp to run 105mph + in a 27.QUOTE]
this depends on what altitude you are at. There are some
27's bumping into the high 90's(95-98) with 625hp.
the 28 with mild power would be a more reliable package for sure. Personally I cant afford a boat with twins yet so a big powered 26-27 is the way to go. All depends on your budget

Actually with my insurance company a big powered smaller cat is more money to insure than a mild powered twin.

Thanks for the reply guys.
Shueman: What is that 28' Speedster and the Bud boat worth? I read somewhere you can run a single with that boat or is it too much stress on the leg?
That red/white 36 speedster is so sexy!!!! WOW!!!!
With a single, what do I need to run 100-105mph?
Thanks again for the quick replys guys. I really dont know much about this offshore thing, Im coming for a River boat and want something that I can run out in the salt and bigger lakes around here...So, thanks again for the help...

I had a 30 w/525s & didnt really like it at all . I think there are better cats out there than eliminators .The boat would run 111-113 but it was a pig out of the hole & even had the supercat tab . It might have been better if it had like 700hp for each motor. I was running labbed 28 b1s and 30 b1s . Ended up selling it

Depends on what you want to do with it. So far the 33 has less problems than the others and is a fast as the comp. or faster that we have found. Plus one of they only cats that has a cuddy nice for the extra storage.We also had there V-hulls There 30 eagle was very impressive there was not another hull power for power that could beat ours. Procharged it ran 108mph and got there very fast. Big cats seem to be the future for us. 33 is about the best mix for us can fit on smaller lakes and rivers but is no slouch in the big water.36 is just to big for us as much as we travel so the other brands were not a fit being 36 and up are there hulls.
