we tryed a large tab on a 99 33 daytona it didn't like it wound up with a mt 1550 from dana. it worked great. i have a 98 33 daytona and can run the mt 4800. the bottom is different on the 99. my buddies 2000 33 has the same bottom as my 98...

the 99 had 1050hp motors and would run over 135 easy......
give me a call i can help you set your boat up.

Did the 2000 and 1998 have the two small square edge steps and the 99 have the two large sawtooth looking steps?

98 and 2000 had the sawtooth steps

khadley, I know you have a lot of knowledge on these boats. In my search for an older standard deck 33, do you feel I should be looking for one bottom over the other, or can they both me made to work? Thank you!
