Welcome

I know you will love it. I'm already looking for my third. Mine's for sale or trade to something bigger if anyone knows anyone. Would like to go up to a 32 ICC with twins...

Just do like I do and go to Skiatook or Tenkiller. My little 112 will pretty much embarass anyone on those lakes, lol!!:lolhit:

Your 28 does 112 what kinda motors and props you turning because I can't get mine over 90. It had 5 blade maximus 28 pitch props on it and the guy I bought the boat from said each engine was pushing 550 hp.

You should be in the low 100's. I'd go back to a Bravo prop like a set of 30's...otherwise try some P5X hydro's...maximus are not good props for 28's unless highly modified. Are you turning your props IN?

yea my props are turning in and they are labbed. Should I go to a 4 blade 30 to get more top end. thanks

If you turn a 30 4 blade ~5600 you will be ~102...that's what mine ran with 500EFI's stock except the rev limiters were bumped up..it got there pretty quick too. I have boxes, and then ran std. length lowers. No planing issues at all.

The ONLY reason to run a 5 blade on a 28 Daytona IMO is if you can't get on plane with a 4, are out of gear, or want to cruise ~10mph faster at the same rpm...you will loose whack (acceleration) every time when you go to more blades on this boat. I have never tried a maximus, but have spoken to several who have...I havn't found anyone that was happy with them on a 28....

I have significantly more power now and still run labbed 33 bravo's, just went to a 1.21 gear to make them work.

so would a 4 blade 31 be to much for a standard bravo with no boxes. My rev limiter is set around 53 to 54.

Shouldn't be...all you can do is try it....what kind of ignition do you have?

I agree with jdnca1 on the props. His boat is very similiar to mine except that he has more power, more weight in the back and I have a windshield.

With that power, you should be ~105. I don't run labbed props becasue I have cracked a couple of regular Bravos and think the labbed props would crack easier.

I think you could run 30" or 32" Bravo Ones.
