Default 25 daytona queston

Looking at 25 daytona with 496 HO. what would be top speed?
or is a waste of good hull with this low of HP?

Saw some with 525efi, speed guess?

I am shopping for my next boat.

I would say with 2 people and the fuel 1/2 full about 74 mph.

Should be around mid 70's. I wouldn't call it a waste if you want to turn the key, go boating every day and not kill your wallet. More power does make it more fun though.
525, low 80s.

The thing I found with my 25 was that the hull only really started to work well at 80. Running in the 70's the boat stays fairly wet.
They certainly do like HP and respond very well to it.

IMO a 496 is a turd!! Get a 500efi at least!
