mine goes 106 on gps but it is on the rev limiter i think with bigger props it will run faster
I just put the boxes on it this year and i haven't had the time to do any testing to see how much faster it is with them
I do know that i picked up 2 mph without changing anything
allan
what props are you running and do you have boxes?

How's it going K. hadley? I do have extension boxes and I was running 35 pitch cleavers. I have gotten the best out of those so far. I would like to try a pair of five blade Hydro's and I will this summer. I'll let you know how it goes. I also spoke to Thane at Eliminator and he was telling me about these Dana tab's that go more at the end of the sponsons than in the middle. I was thinking about putting them on. Any thoughts on that. I was also thinking about switching my center tab to the wide Dana one. I must have way to much time on my hands.
What tab are you guy's running

Allan.........
When you do a post reply......at the bottom of the page is a "browse" button.....you hit that ......and find the location of the picture "it will be in another window" click the file name and make sure that it is in the "file name" box next to the bottom of the window. Hit open and then it will put the pic file destination in the window next to "browse" and hit the submit button...sending you message along with your pic to the board. Simple as who knows what
Try it...it it doesn't work...I'll post that pic from the poker run for you

I see where you guys are running around 100 to 106. very impressive for a 33ft boat. What Im trying to find out is what is the weight of your boat when you are doing this? How many people on board? How much fuel? Full enterior both cabin and enterior? nos?
I had the ocassion to take a demo ride at the Miami show in a 33 that had twin 496s with 3 of us besides the driver and by watching the gps the fastest it went was 93 but the driver said that the boat had done 105. I have no reason to doubt the mans word but I didn't see it. I appreciated him taking me along on the demo ride and I sure wasn't going to be asking questions like why does't it do it now?
I see in the magazines that they also say it goes between 105 and 110. Never do you hear what the wet weight is. I just thought that since you guys are not trying to sell your boats maybe I can get your thoughts on these speeds...What I'm really asking is will a fully equipted 33 Daytona with two regular size people,60 gals of fuel really go that fast?
I have a 28 and it will go that fast, but its 5 feet shorter and I had to put some money in it. I have been thinking of tradin to a bigger cat. They have them priced at over 200,000 retail so you can see why Im asking. appreciate any help you can or will give me on this subject.
Thanks, eliminator219

Hey.....I have been trying to sell mine. I even had a 36 ft Daytona on order last fall......but didn't sell mine....I can't afford two of them.....so until the 33 ft one is gone....the new 36 ft is on hold.
P.S. you can also delete one of your double posts.......
not being smart.....
finney...nice....boat.....tell the photographer not to wait so long...you'll be out of sight
Where was the pic taken? Looks flat out there....water and land. Being from the mountains....flat is odd to look at. I'll post a few pics from out on the lake where we boat alot....well not so much now since we have been trailering to the Chesapeak and Lake Erie
