Poker,
It is a very nice boat. Wonder what they are asking for it? I think the coupe feature would nice in a colder climate.

PokerRun388 02-08-2011 09:06 PM

I dont know what hes asking... I guess whatever you payed for yours and then a lil more,,, bcuz yours has 700s, and this has 1075s... so gotta be a lil more?? u think??

I am sure they want more for it than I paid, as they wanted 600K for my boat. Most likely why it didn't sell. Way too many other choices in that price range. I do like the gel from what little I can see in the pictures.

Private owner...not on OSO, to my knowledge.

314joey 02-13-2011 09:56 AM

Great looking boat, but that coupe feature which would be good in cooler climates, it would suck in mid August in the Midwest humidity.

ElimiNordic 02-13-2011 10:09 AM

Shueman,

Aren't the 36's either a coupe, which has the removable top or a Speedster? They were not called a Speedster Coupe were they?

ElimiNordic 02-13-2011 11:18 AM

shueman,

Also, do you know why the Eliminator web site does not show a coupe available anymore? Have they quit making it?

It's now under the 36' Speedster...Coupe deck/canopy molds are still around...

I've always liked that color scheme. Once I saw those original pics, I called me dealer and asked him to find me a coupe. Notice the resemblence? :-) Well, atleast the lines are the same.

I'd probably hurt myself w/1075's though. Gotta believe that boat runs around 170mph w/that setup.

Mine has cockpit and cabin A/C and is fine in 80-90 degree temps. However, when I'm not running in Poker run, I remove the top so the wife and rug rats can get in and out more easily - has nothing to do w/the heat....A/C works fine. Now if I was in 90 degree plus humid heat every day, that might be a little warm while the boat was stationary...while running it would be fine.

Since I live in the northeast, the coupe is perfect for me. I can run 120 mph and carry on a conversation with my crew as if we were in a lexus -without the need for headsets.

Also works well when I take my bride out to dinner in the boat. When I had my 28, I used to hear all sorts of spousal static around how going 100 mph messed up her hair. Haven't heard that complaint once while owning my coupe.:grinser010:

Obviously, I am a fan - or I wouldn't own one.

How many 36 speedsters/coupes has Eliminator made total?.. Dont see alot of them...

Did the first 36 couple debut in 2006? Harrah's boat?

PokerRun,
I found this post by Shueman interesting:
Congrats...!!! That's the "first" 36' Speedster built.
He was talking about my boat?

I believe Harrah's was the first 36' Coupe...ElimNordic's is the first 36' "Speedster" model, to the best of my knowledge...

PokerRun388 02-15-2011 09:54 PM

Oh yah Dan,, I keep getting the speedster and 36 coupe confused... The 36 coupe currently on eliminators site I guess has a removable top.... I keep getting that confused,, bcuz yours doesnt have a top... sorry bout that...

I used to do the same. I thought mine was a Speedster coupe until better informed. One main difference is the windshield frame on a coupe is a solid fiberglass frame while the Speedster is just a thick plastic windshield on the top edge.

How are things going out there? Are orders coming in? How is morale and everyone's spirit? Are Bob and family doing ok? I hope things pick up in the spring. Just hold your heads up and move forward. This economy has been tough on a lot of industries. I have had about a third of my competitors go out of busy or restructure in the last few years. It is getting better here in the south and those who hold on will prosper once again.

These 36's are great looking boats. Hoping to see one East Coast style w/o the pod one of these days!

I don't know how the pod affects handling, but it is responsible for the cabin I like to have on a cat. I like a place to get out of the rain if needed. If we want to, we can sleep down it the cabin overnight no problem. I could not even get in the front of most true cats.

Great pics Dan... interior design looks great...!! I like the looks of your 36 better... Seems like the hardtop coupe would be alot of work....

This is not meant to be a smart comment, but shouldn't you be in school now. I think the coupe would be great in cold weather, but we like the open cockpit feel.

PokerRun388 02-16-2011 11:52 AM

Im home sick today... have the flu... so just hanging out off/on all day on OSO.... Lol... Yah i like the open cockpit too.. have better vision too.... :drink:

Hope you feel better. One of the reasons I like the 36 over the 28 is the 28 had the fighter pilot canopy windshields and no matter how much you get used to them, at 100mph+ there is nothing better than the wrap around windshields of yesterday. I need to see everything to feel comfortable going real fast. Watch out for the sharks here on OSO and don't get in trouble.

Hey Poker,
I will snap some pictures in Miami for you. I know there are boats there you would love to see. I will post here for you.

PokerRun388 02-16-2011 12:04 PM

Thanks Dan...I feel ok.... Yah the 28 speedster is nice but i agree with you.... Plus your 36 is so much larger in person than the 28,, so im sure you feel alot safer at high speeds in your 36...

PokerRun388 02-16-2011 06:57 PM

Hey Dan,, I just checked eliminators site and now they have a price on that 2008 36...395K.....

what do u think??

ElimiNordic 02-16-2011 09:23 PM

I think at $400k I would have to look at all the options. This price range brings all the brands into the mix. Think hard about this one..

PokerRun388 02-17-2011 08:25 PM

Yah, I agree w/ you... Boy oh Boy though,, I love that paint job... Love the red/orange/yellow

Airpacker 02-18-2011 07:25 AM

If I am correct, the red.yellow, orange 1075 boat was Bob's personal ride for a while. I know thats the one he brought up to Ontario for his holidays a couple summers ago. I was talking to him about my local stomping grounds and he told me about experiencing the trill of #6 props meeting Canadian Granite :)

Yep, I was lucky enough to tow it up there...
