Eliminator Regatta....well let's hear the story

How did everything go...did everyone make it .....that said they would? Was it what you thought it would be?

ANY PICS?....that what pics are for....us poor folk that can't go

Cattitude 05-21-2002 09:20 AM

Secret Agent man stopped by my house on the way home to Virginia and had great stories and photo's to share. He did get the long distance award and I think he got some unofficial display of transom awards as he revved up that bad boy Nickerson motor!

I figured UT would be posting a bunch but he was probably to revved up for his trip to Skaterfest. How many karats does it take to get a Skater?:D

Uncle Toys 05-21-2002 01:45 PM

Hi guys, sorry for not posting pictures. A little worn out after: Poker run, Regatta, Skaterfest, and now Memorial Day weekend. Was actually waiting for S.A.M. to resurface/get home. Didn't want to post them and have them sink to the bottom before he has a chance to look.

So S.A.M., you home yet?

Turbojack 05-21-2002 02:08 PM

UT
OK, so us poor folks have to wait until SAM shows back up? I think we can do a good job keeping a post from dieing. Sooooo give us the skinny. Were you & SAM the OSO people there?

Sec Agent Man 05-21-2002 10:14 PM

Hi folks, we are officially back home, safe and sound. Thanks to UT and Cattitude for all the hospitality during the trip. Here are a couple pictures from the Regatta.

UT, what a guy, he jumped in that ice cold water to rescue unfortunate Bud Lite refreshments from the lake for a passerby. Hats off to you big guy!! :D :D

For those who have never been...you are missing out on a great time and some beautiful scenery, the hospitality of other eliminator owners was unreal and unique in their own way. The temperatures were high but it was absolutely the most exciting trip we have had. The kids and Double D didn't want to come home. Uncle Toys, you and the Mrs. will probably get a phone call from her in the future about possibly moving, that of course will be at a later date.

I have never seen a man with THAT many toys as Cattitude, you and your family are very unique people, and it was a great pleasure to have met you. We had a great time at lunch, and the boys are still talking about that *&%# trampolene.

Drumroll please, not to keep you in suspense any longer, here are a couple of pictures.

Sorry folks, the pictures are too big. Am trying to remember how to make them smaller 620 X 480?

See if this works.

Though my computer messed up by not showing pictures.

You know the old saying. "Ye who dies with the most toys wins". I am working on it.

Will this tide you over until I can post digital this weekend?
Turbojack, sorry you were unable to make the trip, you missed an unbelievable time. BTW, how is your boat running? Did you get all the gremlins fixed?

SAM

S.A.M. Glad to hear you made it back safe and sound. What a haul!!! I'll try to post pictures at lunch today.

Cattitude - toys? Sounds like a challenge to a guy like me. Show/post your list :D

Cattitude 05-22-2002 11:42 AM

Can't hold a candle to UT!

UT, I'm sure you'd win the toy war- though I'm no slouch. The difference is SAM met you at the lake where you brought one toy. He came to my house where all the toys were in view (Ok- we won't talk about the drawer in the nightstand):p

Besides, you've seen my Jeep and 40' camper/hauler, my Cummins/Dodge. Throw in Tina's convertible, the family car, Nena's RX-7 (Formerly Tina's), Branden's quad, the 18' carhauler trailer, the 10 mph commercial mower and the tige inboard and i'm fresh out of Toys- not even a PWC to compete with your fleet!

By the way- the cabin gets the most use when there are just two of us on board.:D

Sounds like I should ad pilgrimage to Skaterfest on my "todo" list! I'm glad you had a great time.

With regards to cat's in the ocean- try it in your 26, you may be surprised how well it does. 22-26' fishing cats are becoming extremely popular because of their prowess per foot. The nice thing about ocean running is the spread between the swells- I used to sail an 18' nacra racing cat in the gulf all the time, launched it off the swells too. LOTO on the other hand is a challenge, Bayliner swallowing Troughs with 4-6' top to bottom and short spread. I was taking them at 25-35 with a lot of stick work, occasionally poking right through the next wave, a rush but not for the timid. Really shows how solid the hull is.

SAM...if you would like. E-mail them to me and I will put them up my server and web page with a link.

Turbojack 05-22-2002 07:22 PM

Only 354 day until next eliminator reqatta. I am planing to be there for that one.

Uncle Toys 05-22-2002 08:38 PM

Sorry guys, its been busy and this uploading pictures actually takes a while. Will try again tomorrow morning.

Turbojack 05-23-2002 07:42 AM

& I thought I had a lot of toys. I think the only one I have on UT is my own margarita machine. I carry it in the motor home compartment when going to the lake sometime.

UT- What was outcome with the boys?
