Default 28' Daytona Lighter Motors?

Has anyone tried lighter engines in a 28' Eliminator? I have developed an engine package for my 19' Eliminator that has 600 HP @ 6000 RPM and 595 Ft/lbs @ 4500. Torque begins at 2800 RPM with 530 Ft/lbs. The engine package would be about 700+Lbs lighter than the 496's, have 1000 more RPM and 350 more HP. I am hoping that all of that will put the boat over 120 MPH with stock drives.

The one JP is talking about I think was owned by Cat and Mice who is a member on this site. He had twin small blocks that were putting out close to 800hp each.
