Contact Sy Goldberg he handled both my boats at a pretty fair deal and my 33 Daytona runs over 150 which makes things even tougher.

1' to 2' are fine for a 30' Daytona but any rougher than that is not enjoyable IMO

Well, I hope to water test the 30 tonight. Anything I should be looking for?

Brought the boat home last night. He had me out showing me how it handles and what to look for handling wise. I was surprised at how easy it is to notice the small tell tale signs when turning. You can feel it dig in slightly. We spent time running 50 mph and turning the boat to get used to it. I only ran it up to 70 and brought it up to 95 with 5 of us in the boat. I think this is going to be a great boat

Owned a 30 for 7 years. Fun boat. If it weren't for our super rough water I'd likely still have it. Switched to the true Cat dark side and it does everything the 30 did with a gentler ride. 30 is a great bang for the buck.

Have had the boat for 2 weeks now. Certainly still getting used to it but finding myself comfortable with it. Was surprised last weekend how it handled boat wash during the poker run. I did experinece the going slow and getting wet though. Came up on a cruiser and passed him doing about 30 and got soaked.
Trying to figure trim and tab on this. It seems to run great at lower speeds then all of a sudden it loses grip and sinks into the water and slows down about 10 mph. Not sure if it is the hull or the sportmaster shorties losing grip.

30-35mph can play havoc on staying on top of the water.

I noticed that too. 65-75 seems to be the cruising sweet spot.
