Taking delivery on a 2010 Eliminator Daytona 27 next weekend (so excited!). Have started the process of seeking insurance and already been turned down by Wozencraft sadly.
1100hp
115mph (we are told)
We are ages 55 and 62, 100% clean driving records
Currently and for the past 3 years we've own(ed): 2005 Baja 242 Islander [Built with Raylar 511 stroker build/Whipple stage 2, 600hp, 70mph]
1996 Spectre 30 Cat [Twin Dart 572's 750hp each, 110mph is fastest we've gone in it]
Anybody have any other suggestions besides Wozencraft?

Weird the Spectre didn't qualify you. Similar HP and speed must be the time of ownership they are using as excuse. I had zero cat experience and Total Dollar wrote mine with more HP also.

I guess they only use the years similar boats were covered under an insurance policy as "qualified" years; even though dated purchase agreements prove actual ownership. Kind of like applying for a job that requires 47 years of experience when you just finished an internship and graduated from college - how do you get those 47 years if nobody will hire you?

Been calling and leaving a message at Total Dollar for a week. There is an minor error in my renewal notice. Nobody calls me back. I may call Wozencraft before sending money to a company that can't call you back.
