Default Eagle230 eliminator just died out of nowhere…

Like the title says i was starting my 2002 eliminator like i usually do every month just to keep things happy and it started up and everything was good, i ran inside to go take a leak and when i went out back the boat was dead…..i tried restarting it to no avail….after looking into it i read that the crank sensor could be the culprit…i tried 2 differen new sensors and nuthin, i put the original sensor from 2002 in and it at least popped of and wanted to start….tried some other things to no avail and just gave up on it…..a year goes by and summer is upon us again so i charge the batteries fully and go out and try to start and it just cranks…i put a tiny spray of starting fluid and crack the throttle blade just a hair…the motor is a mag496 ho… i hit the key and bam she fires right up but is not happy, blowing puffs of black smoke and running like crap….but it was running so thats a start!! I noticed the tach wasnt reading i was told when the tach doesnt read its the crank sensor, but ive tried 3 different new ones just to put back in the original one, will the cam sensor also cause the tach not to read? Anyhow i ordered a cam sensor and a new iac valve for it hoping that it will help, also installed new plugs cause i figured the old ones were probably fouled out with all those puffs of black smoke….i also noticed the fuel pump doesnt prime right away when i turn the key, it is delayed and kicks on about 15-20seconds after the key is turned…..im very mechanically inclined and build Supercharged LS swapped vehicles in my spare time so i gotta good idea how all this suff is supposed to work , but this mag496 ho has got me stumped, anyone got any suggestions…ill put up a couple pics of the boat in question!!
Thanks in advance—Trent

2002 eagle230 eliminator mag496 ho

Its an awesome boat and is very fast when its running right and the water is good

For a 20+year old boat it still draws ALOT of attention when i take it out…..im gonna have to do a SEVERE detail job on this thing once i get her running right and dailed back in again…..its been out for the past 3 seasons now and the dirt is starting to show the neglect….glad i put that fuel stabilizer in it when i parked it…..gas still smells fresh and not like varnish….but i will probably pump it out just to be safe…might be 5 gallons in there at the most
