Default 25 Eagle performance

Just went out last thursday amd went 93 on GPS speedo. The boat seemed like it wanted more bow lift it kept touching down and lifting up. Man thats gotta be scrubbing off a couple MPH??? what does anyone think on this thread? Any 25's out there? THe run ws with a bravo 28 prop at 6200 rpm. I know 6200 sems high but remember that I cant stay there only for a second or two. It rocks for acceleration though.

I drove a buddys 96' 25 Eagle with a BONE STOCK 502MPI 75mph GPS. That was with 2 people and FULL fuel. Boat probably had 77 in it a little lighter. I was quite impressed to say the least. That speed was with a 27 Mach and is the only prop he's tried.

Greg,
If you remember last year I had a 25' Eagle 502 with M-3 Procharger, I meant to tell you that I talked with the people at Eliminator about the high speed handling of the 25, they recommended big trim tabs, they said these helped immensely. My problem with mine was chine walking. I could steer slightly one way and be alright but if I didn't the ride was "too exciting" forme. I sold the boat last fall because I bought a farm with a lake on it.(I competitively water ski) Thought I wouldn't miss it. Well in the spring I was selling a blown drag boat of my fathers and a collector called and was interested, he wanted to know if I would be interested in some kind of trade!!! I said no, but what do have to trade..... He said Harleys, Rods, an Eliminator..... Hmmm what kind of Eliminator. Well you can see by my other post I'm back in. My boat has twim 454 mag carbs, would you recommend the procharger for this if you had to do it again?

you need about about 800-850 hp to do that. Cam, headers and about 7-9 psi of intercooled boost. Greg
