Default Straight Vee vs. Notch Transom

On a 31' hull, what is the difference in top speed for the straight hull vs. the notched transom given equal power and drives? How about the difference in handling?

I dont know about a 31 but our Notched 40 vs our friends straight 40 ride different. Ours rides on the stern keeping the bow much higher than the other. It also seems to plane a lot better. As far as speed i wouldnt expect 3-4mph

By excalibur standards the 31 was a straight transon and the 32 had the notched transom. Just a little trivia
