best sealent and paint
i am in the process of removing the silent thunder box from my formula and replacing it with some cmi mufflers. between old bracket holes and new holes for the mufflers there are a number of thru transom holes. what is the best sealent or paint to use to prevent water damage to the core plywood of the transom?
also when i bolt up the mufflers what is the best sealent to use around the flange?
thanks

Re: best sealent and paint
use west systems epoxy on any exposed wood in the thru holes and 3M's 5200 to seal any thru hull fittings.
