I used one shot sign paint, and Urethane automotive clear.

Depends on what kind of graphics you are doing. I use PPG's DBC basecoat with DCU 2021 for a clear. If its a simple highlight or name on the back of the boat OneShot is ok but anything larger than a few square feet i would step into an automotive system. Way easier to work with, less film build and faster tape times. What kind of graphics are you adding?

Glassdave is correct on this, anything big, and especially with fades, you wanna use DBC, and 2021. I have painted many cars with that system, and it is very durable and easy to mix and use, very forgiving also. The other advantage to DBC is you can get it custom mixed any shade of any color ya want, or if ya see some color on a car that you would like to use, its easy enough to get the code, and just have it made.

good point on the fades rc, thats right they are tough (almost impossible) with oneshot. The good thing about using an automotive basecoat system is very little film build and very fast dry times when doing multiple layouts. also fast coverage and easy repairability. If you do intend to do some fades you will also need to get some DBC500. Its a clear basecoat that allows you to extend open times and helps give a cleaner tape edge on overlays

Are you still there? about the paint, if I use the PPG's DBC basecoat, Can I use Fibre Glass 180 crystal clear gel coat over it instead of the 2021

I want to paint the entire boat, do spider graphics on the side and bow and then clear coat.

Why would you use that???? Doesn't make sense. Just clear the boat with 2021.
