Polishing throttles/shifters
Posted this over in Tech General, no responses.
Zero-Effort controls. I've seen some guys have removed the paint and polished the controls. Is the base material stainless or aluminum? How do you get the paint off? How does the little red emblem in the throttle handle come off.
Also, I've seen guys polish the bezel around the mechnical trim indicators. Is this bezel stainless?

i thought the stem was stainless and the head and base was aluminum or something like that. Either way you can sand off the color and step up into finer grits till your about to four or six hundred then polish from there.
the plastic thing just pops out and i also think those are replaceable.
