bump on the iron out, it works awesome just be careful of the fumes once it mixes with water. It's nasty and will knock you out so wear a mask with filters. Not sure about reaction on painted surfaces but on gelcoated fiberglass its amazing and cheap. I have mixed it in a bucket then sponge it on let sit for a minute and spray off with clean water, took off Ohio river stains I couldn't get off from a weekend there.

Nu-hull works great and does not harm your trailer...its really just aluminum brightner I think but I works very well. if you have a pressure washer (low psi 1800 to 2000) it will look like new, but of course with any of this stuff any wax that you had on the hull is gone after you clean off the stain.

I use The Works. Mix it 50/50 with water and apply with pump up sprayer. We get those pesky stains in a hurry here on the Missouri River. With my boat being lift kept, waxing the hull is not convienient. I have neen looking for some sort of product that could be applied with a pump sprayer to seal the bottom and have had no luck in my search.

I use Power 1
http://www.fountainofyouthrestore.co...wer_One_1.html
...I cut it down about 4 parts water to 1 part Power 1. Mix in a pump garden sprayer. Spray it on, agitate with a brush, hose it off.
Somehow I have it stored in my mind that Power 1 doesn't strip wax off - but I believe that it does. Not sure why I have that stored in memory (along with a bunch of other useless data!).
The other method I use is a buffer to remove the stains. It works just as good, although requires more physical work.
This is all based on Ohio River water conditions - it leaves a stain almost immediately upon launching the boat.
