242 Bimini Pics wanted.

My 242 has never been fitted with a Bimini.
I am hoping to buy the Bimini from Formula.
I have e-mailed them to find out if the windscreen on the Fastech models are the same width as the 242. (Awaiting reply).
If it is then i will order one and then get the side panels custom made in the UK.
I was thinking of having Black material. Has anyone got any experiences to share regarding black cloth?
I am not a fan of Bimini's myself, but i do like to stay over on board at the weekends and could use the additional space created by the camping covers.

If you live where its really warm and sunny most of the time, I would advise against black. The temperatures under that black material will become unbearable.
I think Cuda has a black full-length storage cover. He lives in Florida. When the local Pizza Hut is really busy, they bring the uncooked pies over to Cuda's boat and slide 'em under the cover for like 8 minutes.....................done!!

Have you ever replaced your cockpit cover??
Thinking bout takin mine to the local top shop and duplicating it.
Just wondering if yours is still original. All these trips to South Florida has beat thte hell outa mine.
