Red face repair of cabin door-95 303SR1

Can the cabin door (slider) of a 1995 303 SR1 be repaired? It appears the door is just laying in the pocket, not on rollers or the track & at both the top & bottom. How is this normally supposed to "track"? Are there rollers, glides or what? How do you access it/them to repair it? I hope someone knows !!

Thumbs up

93, I think, if I remember correctly (is this what getting old is all about?) that there are definitely four nylon or plastic gliders (two top, two bottom), and it seems to me that you can get at them with a couple of screws each from inside the cabin. I'll go out in the plant to double-check.

I believe you can order a kit (or, actually, have your dealer order it) from the guys in TAG. Use the number I gave you earlier.

Rotsa ruck!

93formula,

Best of luck with your new boat! Hope to see you out on the water this summer.

Boilerdaddy, if you're ever in NJ this summer, look me up. We'd love to take you out in our 303. (New boat for us this year).

Toolman,

They don't let me out much during the summer except for dealer meeting and last-minute press checks. It's a busy time of the year (why didn't I get a job in a snowmobile factory?), but if I do get to Joisey, I'll give you a heads-up. What area of Jersey are you from?

Boilerdaddy !! Thanks, I talked to Darrell & the parts (glides & lock assembly) are available & must be ordered from/thru the dealer (as I have done before).
Did you verify if the access to the screws is from the cuddy? Can the door be removed inorder to replace the tracks/glides? It pretty clumsy & heavy to work around in place. Thanks for your help !

boilerdaddy,

We live in central NJ near Princeton, but have trailer-will travel! We boat everywhere from the Delaware river near Philadelphia, to the Hudson river, NYC and the Jersey shore. I hope to meet more Formula owners this year, so come on out if you can. I'm sure all the guys with Formulas on this board would like to meet you. Keep in touch!

93, I didn't reply because Daryl told me he talked to you. Yeah, you can get to all those nuts and bolts. Just buy some beer and get a buddy to help. It shouldn't be too bad!

Hey, thanks again Boilerdaddy! Is there any kind of illustrated manual (I must be kidding myself here ) by Formula that is available showing how & where access to fasteners is gained so we dont tear something up? There is no Formula dealer on my lake & it is 125 miles to the closest one!
Thanks ahead of time

93, there is no manual that I know of. The closest thing is if one of the guys in technical assistance might have a sketch or something? Really, it is not complicated, and you should have no problem.
