Im personally a KICKER fan. I will only run kicker in any vehicle or boat i own. I have 4 kicker 350.4 amps for the 8 sets of 6in kicker components and a 750.1 for the 2 12in L7 solobarics all waiting to be installed in my 255 Express cruiser. running off of a kenwood deck plus i just got the first purchase of interstate batteries for my boat 5 interstate 24 series deep cycle batteries. 5 per side gotta disperse the weight im adding to the back. thoes cant go in till the floor paint is done the new seats are installed and the cabin is finished.
plus my tahoe runs 3 sets of 6.5in kicker components off of one amp and 4 kicker L7 12's off of the 1250.1 kicker amp and 2 optima batteries one red one yellow. feeding from a hand wound 250 amp alternator. but I go loude and dont care what other people think around me.

Any opinions on the Polk marines? Im replacinh my cockpit speakers, so researching them now. Will be fed by a 60wattx4 rms amp. Have a Sony xslb10 sealed sub tucked into the side storage area, ran by a Sony XM1S amp, and Im surprised how much bass it provides in and out of the boat.

The prices were about half of what JL audio stuff (im sure JL audio is better stuff) but They didn't have the size speakers i needed and figured I save the money.
BTW I bought it all on EBay (brand new) just search each model you want and save a ton of money

I replaced all my cockpit speakers with Polks several years ago. I added seperates to the arch and replaced the factory Kenwood 6X9's with Polk 6X9's.
They sounded great and have lasted several years of serious raft up cranking the music abuse.
The grills started to fade in my arch, went from silver/grey to slightly yellow after the first season or so. So I swapped the grills for aftermarket stainless ones. other than that I have been very happy with Polk's and have installed them in a few other friends boats with great success.
