Good Restaurants on the Potomac

Anyone with good suggestions for restaurants on the Northern Potomac? I know the Occoquan has a decent place...any other suggestions.

There is Oasis, the old Gecko's Restaurant and night club. The Pilot House used to have a restaurant until the hurricane flooded it 2 years ago. That is where I keep my 400ss. There is Tim's 1 & 2 which is good for crabs and Tiki bar. There is also a place called Gilligan's which has a good band there on Memorial Day Weekend.

Where are you located at and what model boat do you have?

I've got a 292 that I keep at Ft Belvoir in Alexandria. Belvoir is on drouge creek which is fine other than being a bit shallow at low tide...they're dredging this fall.

We do most of our boating between Old Town and Quantico, time on the water is better than time towing to the water. Especially these days when a day on the water a week is pretty stellar.

Do you have Lat/Longs for the restaurants? I'm geeking out with the GPS. Never know when we'll feel the need after a good day on the water.

Sure is, they are supposedly going to dredge the sound, the silt is bad end of our pier at low tide can gut under 2 feet, he either wasnt sure what pier he was looking for, or had to move cuz it was too shallow.

There will be a few on the Potomac this weekend, but many of us will be at the Smith Mountain Lake Poker Run. I am leaving at 0:Dark:30 tomorrow morning for the lake. Look for Monsoon (37AT) in the next few weeks.

We face the Wicomico River (house number is 18878) and we can see the Potomac from the house. On Sunday, you could have driven around the outside of the island until you see a really big Fountain sitting in the driveway. Large U-shaped driveway with a yellow house and red shutters.

Memorial weekend, we will be at the house with friends (they have a 46' Sea Ray) on Saturday, then might be going with them to a raft up near Port Tobacco but a stop at Gilligan's might be in order and then go to Tall Timbers Sunday night for the boat burning. Please give us a call....the house number is 301-259-4531 or call Bill's cell below.
