Water raining out of instrument panel....
#1
Yesterday we splashed her for the first of the season. As we cruised along water was raining down from under the helm. I figure there must have been a couple gallons up there. It only came out as we drove. Once we stopped it too stopped. I've had this boat for five years now and it's never done this.
None of the instruments or wiring got wet. Looks like it was coming down from someplace near the base of the windshield. It didn't stick my head under to look because I would have gotten another shower and a face full.
Friday I did wash the cockpit out. There were dead bugs between the instrument panel and the glass. I flushed it, as I have done before, didn't use a lot of pressure just enough to flush the bugs out.
Maybe I forced water in and it was trapped someplace????
Has this happened to you??

SOB!!!!!
You know I never thought of that. And guess what, the speedo wasn't working yesterday.

At least the line is thoroughly flushed out.
Boy do I feel stupid.
Thanks I'll look at it tonight.

No salt, all fresh water.
Good idea anyhow. I have a gallon of WD-40 I use on the PWC's.
A friend who was with us noticed the speedo wasn't working and ask how it worked and what might be wrong. I explained how but it just didn't click that that's where the water was coming from. D'OH!
