Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
I just signed up for it and will be coming down the Potomac from the Woodbridge VA area on Friday. Then heading up to the Red Eye Dock Bar. Just wondering if there are any other Formula owners going to the event? And if so does anyone want to meet up that is heading in the same direction?

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
We'll be there starting Friday afternoon the 24th, but we're coming from the north, just 25 miles away. See you there.

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
Keep an eye out for a Red Stripe 400ss called Sanity Keeper.

Thanks...
http://www.fulltiltmarine.com/fullarticle.cfm?id=14 Looking at the website...looks like the event is in Chestertown, MD. I'll have to get out my charts. |
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
The Full Tilt rally is being held at Mear's Great Oak marina on Fairlee Creek. There is also the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society Poker run happening at the same time http://www.cbpba.com/forums/showthre...?postid=24109\ and the two events will have some shared time both at Great Oak and Red Eyes on Sunday. Both events have been a great time in the past and should be a BIG DEAL this year as they come together.

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
Might have to try to hit that this year  .

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
Let me know if you do. It will be the first time I will take the boat up the Chesapeake to Red Eyes. Can't wait to use the GPS and Plotter.

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
csmall, were you at Gilligan's for the Worx? If so, your boat is beautiful. I think I passed you on Monday morning going north, I was clipping along in Monsoon.
|
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
That was me, and it was like a mine field with the debris floating on the river. Your boat sounded great when you passed me. Try and make it down to Tim's II this Sunday. We'll be down around lunch time.

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
Sydways, on Sunday night we tried to get some pictures of the sunset. You got a few nice ones you posted on another thread. Please forward me a copy of them to [email protected] when you get a chance. I also I tried to show my wife a picture of your boat, but I could not find the thread that you posted on. Please send me a picture of your boat. Thanks!

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
The sunset on Sunday was spectacular, i was hanging on the pier when brian, bill and I think James came into Cobb Island. The sunrise was juat as awesome as I rolled out at 730 for my blast back to annapolis. Sorry I didnt get to meet a few more people but summer has just begun. I'll be out at the OP run in two weeks. When is the solomons run?

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
How about a few more of you guys for the Rendezvous? Another dozen boats, and the slip rates will fall from $2 to $1.75 per foot. You'll have all the fun of a Poker Run, and not use NEARLY as much ga$!
|
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
OK - Who's in? The CBPBA Luekemia Poker Run is coming through on Saturday to join up with us for several hours.

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
I'm waiting for a final weather report. Plan to arrive Sat and stay over till Sunday.
A friend with a 242 should be coming too but just for the day since he has to work Sunday :( |

[QUOTE=mopower]Not sure yet. [QUOTE]
Just FYI...I called Great Oak Landing Lodge and their rooms are booked for the weekend...no surprise I guess. Wife is "apprehensive" about sleeping on the boat with no AC and small cabin. Which might be helpful in my plot to buy a bigger boat. |
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
Well I guess that makes up my mind for me. Now for the weather.
Don't forget a fan  Or just keep feeding here Margaritas till she passes out  |
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
I'm outta here - See you guys there. Look for a 382 Fas3Tech named "Me, Too!" with silver sides (Flagship style) and the A/C running.....

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
Looks like I have a slipping cone clutch or slipping engine couple. Switched drive and will be trying again today:mad:.
Maybe next year  |

Couple of pictures.
We arrived Saturday afternoon so we missed the ride up from Red Eyes and the photo shoot. Had a great time. Looking forward to next year's event. We slept on the boat and it was tight! I'm thinking that a SunSport 330 might be a better fit for us. |

Couple more pictures.
We left early this morning (in the fog) to get to a company picnic. The Bay was smooth and I ran 40mph from Fairlee Creek to the West River...it was a nice 35 mile cruise. Of course the big boats do that all day long but with the 242 you need fairly calm water to go 40 on the bay. |

Any more pix out there?

Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
It was great to meet FirstOffshore. He's definitely got the award for "Baddest-A$$" boat at the Rendezvous. An unused F2 382 hull with 496HO power that runs 80+. Talk about a sweet package! Now, if he could just find some place to sleep....
CSmall - Where were you? |
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
C Spray,
It was nice to finally meet you and your wife. You have the best looking FASTech (and the most HP in a 382) that I have ever seen. As I laid there trying to fall asleep on the floor of my boat Saturday night, all I could think about was what it would be like to have your full cabin with the A/C running. I finally fell asleep around 4:00AM, but it was worth it because I met some great people and Full Tilt put on a first class event. |
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
Tom,
Our boat used to be all-white like yours (the "Flying Refrigerator" look), but too many others starting doing the same thing, so we came up with the Flagship-copy. Having all Imron below the rubrail definitely makes for an easier cleanup. Funny - I was up late thinking about your fuel mieage..... :p I'll try to remember to post the pictures we took. Can't remember if I got any of your ride or not. |
Re: Full Tilt Rendevous June 23-25
