Those are impressive numbers. My 350 MagMpis are supposed to be 2.0 at 45mph, and 1.6 at WOT. 3 weeks and you may have a new neighbor
What's this I hear about the boathouse being littered with like 8 Blue Valve covers?

I'm getting ~1.5 NMPG at a variety of speeds from 2800- to near 4000 with appropriate trim and no tab, or just a windage correction
that's 1.5 MPG from 35 to near 60 MPH!/QUOTE]
However Rip, what is that in terms of gallons per hour? Although efficiency appears to be good, you're still sucking down astronomical amounts of fuel. Much more so as you approach 60-70 mph.
Mine is an absolute fuel-pig!!
Trip from the Pond to Sackets and back inhaled approximately 110 gallons!!
Of course, the final 12 or so miles were at about 60 mph.

Damn, that's right there with Axa in the old ride coming from the bay to Oswego for $180 one way, and that was when gas was cheap. 3rd, you in the pond this weekend? On another note 3rd, sounds like you have some confidence in the motors now, good to hear.

Not in the Pond this weekend. We've rented a camp up on Wolfe Island. It's at the east end near the Wolfe Island cut. We'll be there from Saturday to Saturday. You are entirely welcome at any time to pop in for some beers, cocktails, steaks, burgers, dogs or whatever else is happening at the time. I'll be stopping by the "boathouse" to tell the rest of the crew also.
As for the confidence thing, yeah, starting to feel real good about it now. Runs perfectly every time I use it.
