I would like some honest feedback on this topic. My formula was stolen, I had a 260SS and I want to move into a performance formula. I have heard both negative and positive feedback.

Also, if there is anyone out there in my area (Northeast Jersey) with this boat how about a sea trial - please?

Nothing negative on a 312,great boat,and 496 HO's would be a great choice for power. Robert

I have a 2000 312 w/ 454's. Original owner, 170 hours of fresh water use. I bought a 353 and now need to sell my 312.

I bought a 98 312 w/ 502's off Long Island this past winter. Love it so far, just want more LOA already
A local repo lot recieved one soon after I got mine. 2001 312 w/ Volvo 454/ 385's. They've had it since Dec. 04 and I'm sure they are dying to move it if your interested.

also, boat and power should run 75-76 GPS in best of conditions....summer heat more like 72 GPS.

Volvos???....

Although unpopular in go-fasts, they make good motors. Maybe better than merc in stock/ mild applications.
I've had them in previous cruisers and runabouts and they ran great!
This local 312 has the 454's and duo-prop drives with the hydraulic steering built into the transom assemblies. I told them it wouldn't sell because of that, but I still think it's good equipment. Someone must have special ordered it that way because Formula had to know it would be a hard sell.

Volvo's - maybe a good motor but no one up here to fix them. My uncle has a Pursuit and he always barks when he needs service done has to travel over an hour by boat for service.

Although the broker site should be interesting, will check this one out.

Thanks for the offer but I really want the 496 HOs maybe a hard boat to find, but someone out there I am sure wants to get into the 353 just like you. My other option is just going for the 353.

We have a 312 in Edgewater, NJ we can probably work a ride out in. Doesn't have HO's though, just 454's, but maybe it would give you the ride idea you are looking for. PM me if you are interested.
