Re: Interior Lighting Idea's Needed
I went to AutoZone and grabbed two of those white LED lights the "cool kids" are using on their rice burner cars and changed my all around light to LEDs. They're easily as bright as the old bulb, only took a quick solder to install and cost about $22
They're pre-wired to connect to 12v systems. To install, I busted the glass on the 2 light bulbs and soldered the LED wires to a filament post and the lightbulb base. I put the bulb bases back in and cover back on the housing. It fit perfectly inside. This way, I can go back to actual bulbs if needed by removing the old bulb base. When on, they only draw a few milliamps. I wonder, for the inside application, ...if there are "Christmas tree light" strings that would allow for dimming, work with your power source and can be installed neatly? |
