Wow rude awakening!! Controls aren't cheap!
Hey what do you guys suggest for controls? I have looked around and they are outrageous in price. My boat is avintage 272 LS and if I were to spend 1200-1500 on sticks that would be almost 10% of my puchase price! I need the sticks one of mine is parcially stripped and tightening the set screw will only last so long. Anyone have a used set that upgraded that is in good shape? Or can you point me where I can get a set of decent basic controls that won't break my bank?

Re: Wow rude awakening!! Controls aren't cheap!
They're for a boat, that why they're so expensive. I could go and buy 4 new lawn mowers, with engines, wheels, blades, and safety features, for the same price as 4 aluminum sticks with a couple of switches and springs and a few ball bearings. It's unbelievable sometimes...
There is a set of Gaffrig Performace controls in white in the classifieds for 629.

Look on ebay for some deals and just keep looking in the classified section. Remember once you change the controls you will also need new cables all four of them Start with your props than go forward.
