Default 382 Info

I'm still looking for info on the 95 382's. There are a few for sale out there but I haven't heard anything about them good or bad. I'm still looking to buy this fall if I find the right boat. Any input would be greatly appeciated.

Magicfloat has/had a 96 382. I know he'd be straight and fair with you, check his out.

Magicfloat,
What's your take on the mid 90's 382? I know the hull is a straight bottom not Fastech. What are the other big differences such as handling, getting on plane, efficiency cruise/top speed etc...

We finally got the 96 trade in from Loto yesterday. Dano is doing some fine tuning and will spend the weekend on the lake with it with his wife and daughter and will be able to check it out totally. A few pics up now at www.nelems.com will get more tomorrow at the lake. Straight bottom vs step is an issue that would take me all night and I type slowly. The older 419,382,336,303 and many other straight vee models were great boats, still are,and are actually preferred by many. Smooth ride, predictable handling, make a turn at any trim position. In a 382,the sheer size and weight define a nice ride in rough water, steps or not. This is a pretty nice 382 that the owner paid Glencove 17K in July for fresh motors. It doesn't have a trailer but I have a near new one that will fit well. Call me. Robert

That is one of my favorite graphics packages. A friend has that on his 382, looks great.
