311 Bolster Support Legs
#11
Hey Bird,
Kinda like my bolsters? Muscle and a big friggin screwdriver. I think I'll take mine out in the spring and find out what's up with it also. Do you think the weld is broken?
P.S. The neck hurts and I am bored!

I'll bet it does dude. But, hopefully it will be much better in the long run. You shouldn't be too bored, you have engine parts to shop for.

Good news - I got a large philips head screw driver and a heavy hammer. Whacked the top of the driver while turning it and the screws came out.
Not corroded at all; looks like they had Locktite on them. Leg is at the welders and I should get it back Monday. Now if I can just get PL Porter to return my calls ...

Make sure your welder-dude gives the legs a full fillet weld on TOP of the plate. There is no weld joint geometry under the plate. They welded it that way so it wouldn't show. Done nicely, a full fillet stainless weld is wonderful thing to behold.
TIG it and will look way-nice - plus it will hold forever.

I didn't think you would have problems.
I remembered that I took a large phillips screwdriver and locked a big pair of vice grips on it and put as much downward pressure as I could and turned the vice grips.
Just make sure tha welder has the alignment right when he welds or your screw holes won't line up.
