What do steps do.....are they good or bad?

They'll make the boat go 20 mph faster, but barrell roll every time you turn, even at idle.

So in other words the steped hull is not very good ????

I have only rode in a standard v bottom hull and never with one that has had steped bottom so I am looking for the best answer to my concern.I am wondering what the difference in handling is between the two.
