Default Cockpit Carpet

Well i have all the cockpit upohlstry out now, so i figure why not replace the carpet running up the sides of the cockpit, doesnt look tough, anybody have any tips or pointers for me, what is the best glue to use, and whats the best method for preping the area after i pull existing carpet off, where should i buy the new carpet and whats the best carpet to use,

CHeck R&R Textiles.

They have best carpet and are easy to work with. he best carpet is 20 oz Riblock.

you guys are talking about the piece's of carpet that run up the side of the cockpit, between the 2 long black pieces of upohlstry, where the black sliding doors are as well?

I'm not sure what that stuff on sides--but the R&R stuff will replace it and look a lot better over time--especially given the color choices.

I'm one of the principals in Boatmat.

We have a pretty focused set of products and have chosen not to stray from that venue.

Check out http://www.snapincarpet.com/ -- he's done cockpit catpets for other OSO folks and gotten good feedback. It's a specialty sort of thing and he has templates and archives of a lot of patterns.

Of course I'd like it if you got a matching, custom embroidered BoardingMat, CarpetMat and CollerMat from us as well.
