Clay welcome, I does look like that boat has had a lot of work done, the engines look nice but the interior looks ok. Plus it`s in Ma. take a look at the one from florida on the next page looks like the only draw back is original engines

good luck

Maine has a whole lot shorter season than Florida , so the chances of less overall hours are better in Maine. Probably worth aditional verbage with the owner.

The price seems fair... but for a little more you could have a 311!

Price seems fair enough but you really have to see the boat and before buying invest $300/$400 for a survey. I did and it saved my a$$. I wound up buying a different boat

I have a 1993 Formula 336 for sale in the classifieds that quite a few OSO members have seen in person. Always a fresh water boat with 300 hours. No disappointment on this boat.

Prices on these boats (late 80s-early 90s 272 292 & 311s) seem to be all over the map.

Last fall a 89 311 with 454s was advertised on Boattrader.com for $30K.

A member recently posted that they bought a 292 with 502mags for $30K.

Here's a 272 (with 350 magnums) for $20K:

Here's a recent ad for 311 for $31K:

Of course condition can vary quite a bit on a 15+ year old boat which might be part of the variations in price.

You are right the prices are all over the map. You have to look at each one seperatly. The 272 for 20k has alpha drives and has been for sale for three to four years. The other one is a 272 also not a 311. and 31K for that boat seems fair if it is really clean.
