Same experience with my move from the 311 to a 382. Noticed this at a GLSCS race running my 311 along with the Formula pace boat. Even though my 311 was faster, the 382 would walk away from me in the rough stuff, so I HAD to get one!

Congradulations on your new boat.

The boat has 502 mpi's not 500 efi's. The boat still ran 67 on GPS with full fuel and three people. Motor upgrades are in the process. Looking for something around 75!
what year? And what are you going to do to the motors to get the extra 8 MPH?

It is a 1998 with 502 MPI's. I took a few more pictures today when I was waxing the boat.

As far as gaining 8 mph. I am looking into many things but haven't made any choices yet. Hopefully will make some shortly.

Sweet ride!! I have a38 PQ with the same power and Im looking for some extra power as well. You might want to check out crockettmarineengines.com Tyler has a 502 MPI upgrade that gets you about 100 to 110 HP for around 6 k.

Were you running in salt or fresh water to get you 68 MPH number?

I am planning on calling Tyler this week. And When I reached 67 MPH it was in the Gulf on a day that was in the mid 70's and low humidity...........
