Re: Broken Plexiglass cabin entry
Sorry for bad info--J.W. Austin Industries on Ellis Road is the company name. Steve is there and will work with you--his work is better than my postings.

Re: Broken Plexiglass cabin entry
The place I used was Farco Plastics in Largo, Fl. I'm sure there is some place closer to you. Check in the yellow pages under plastics.

1 Attachment(s)
I had one made for my 242LS by a guy in NC for $150. I sent him the original part and he copied it. The hard part apparently is bending the plastic. The original part has a 90 degree bend...the copy was like 75 degrees but you don't really notice it once it's on there. Here is a picture. If the million dollar man is too busy or something and you are interested I'll dig up the guy's name and email. I bet it would be an easy job for him....he's already made one :)

Re: Broken Plexiglass cabin entry
This is sort of off topic, but not too far; The mirrors under my hatch are crappy looking. The mirror finish is flaking off. Can these be recoated or is replacement more feasible? Glass shop?
I have no idea what kind of business could do this. |
Re: Broken Plexiglass cabin entry

Magic Float, that is the name Formula gave me I just never pursued it. Have you used them? Not that I don't follow up on Formula suggestions, I have used this website with our Formula people for good info so many times, its hard to be lead wrong .
Thirdbird any Lowes or Home depot or glass shop can cut and bevel you a new piece. You can even go as far as to have one made for inside your glove box so that your female riders can fix their lipstick after a GOOD run :evilb: |
