Default Warranties

Does anyone have any info on 3rd party warranties?
The dealer warranty expired on my 272 and was shopping around for some piece of mind. Specifically:
Cost
Term
Coverage- What is covered

Any input would be appreciated.

What year is your 272 that you want warranties for?

If it is a 272 it's way past the age for any purchased warranties

Typo...I was at work and in a hurry. Its a 1996 271.
I bought it from a dealer and due to some f**k ups by them they threw in a warranty that since expired. I dont even know that its possible to warranty a boat 10 yrs old??? Thats what I need help on.

Thanks in advance for everyones $.02!

Still too old,but don't worry about it,even if you could buy it the cost would be prohibitive. If it's gone 10 years it will go a lot more. If something breaks, just fix it,you will be ahead money wise

That's right. The best warranty you can get is a good set of tools and Mercruiser shop manual. The boat usually doesn't break, it's the frickin' motors and drives that will get you. So, "learnin' and wrenchin'" is your best bet.
