How many Formula`s have you owned ?
 

As a Formula mechanic and the as a salesmen I have sold many repeat customers since 1979. So how about hearing about you fleet of Birds?
I think by doing this we can help newbies make their next choice a little easier.


Please list year and size if possible. And if you have photos that would be great to.

Three.

1981 F20, originally with a Merc 898 set up.
1985 242 Twin FWC 350's (engines were 1999's) Alpha drives
1986 302 SR1 Twin 468's (originaly 420's) and Kamma drives

Great boats all three Cuda. In all my years of Formula boats one of my favorites is the 1986 242LS twin what a ride!! Another is a 1994 303 w/twin 385`s whata ride!

You don't see a lot of 303's. There was one in our boat club in St Pete. How many years did they make it?

Two , one as a kid in 1964. A 1964 Thunderbird (hence the logo) prior to Formulas buyout and my present 272 SR1

I sold the boat in Febuary to a guy in Cape Coral. I saw the boat about a week ago and it still looks like new.

Nice collection of vessels! My 1st Formula, a 2006 353 Fastech 496HO's . I can't post a pic.....keeps saying the file is too big. :drink:

Nice thread,Selpel,thanks for starting it. My current demo is the 2007 382 photo shoot Spyder boat,don't have a pic but it's the 382 on the Formula website :p

Camera man was a little too quick......the landing kinda felt like hitting ROCKS too! :eek: :D
Not many of us saw those wakes coming from the freighter that passed by. Their were a couple of air shots that were incredible.

Only one as of now...1996 271 SR1 Indy 500 Edition. Hope to trade up soon a formula thats bigger, faster, newer, and has more chick appeal!

Nice demo boat Magicfloat. I spend most of my demo`s in 370SS and 400SS. We started Formula Friday nights on the lake last year and I take either a 400SS w/diesels or a 48 Yacht. But every once in a while I turn loose on a Fas-tech on the sales dock

What is the history on your 271? I believe that year they intended to build only one,but actually built 2. We bought the first one,it was at Indy,then the race winner wanted a different engine,so they made one more for him. Curious as to which one you have. Robert :drink:

Pretty sure I checked when I bought it and it was the second. I think you can tell just be the hull ID no. I havnt had an opportunity to do any investigiating into it. Do they do that every year? I enjoy it b/c it makes the boat unique.

Perhaps I should spend some time investigiating the Indy series rather than browsing the unsensored section of OSO.
