Wondering what yall are doing for transom tiedowns. The transom eyes(u-bolts) are directy above the trim tabs and the only way to use tiedown straps is to go around the trim tabs, not a good solution, especially on the smaller boats with weaker Bennett Tabs. I cannot figure out a solution,so we normally don't use tie downs, but sometimes a customer wants them. Any creative ideas out there?Surely I am not the only one that has had this problem.

Robert, on my Eagle with an additional set of hook eyes on the inset of the rear crossmember...I crisscross them. It's not perfect but better than the straight up/down deal in terms of the tabs.
The problem with that is there is much more length of stap out, so theoretically the boat could move alot farther fore or aft, but at least I won't get stopped for "unsecured load" they call it in NY

I wrap mine around the K-planes. I would see how this would be a problem with Bennett's....I know, just tell JPorter
they need to build ALL fastechs with K-planes from now on.
J/K, had to throw Jeremy to the fire eventually

point is I don't prefer to have a strap rubbing on any painted hardware.
If they moved 'em in you could go straight down between drive and tab on most twins/most trailers with a set of inboard eyes like my Eagle
