496HO's 75 GPS in most cases, but always some variation. we've seen 74 and even 76.3 in one case.502's will drop 2-3 mph.

It'll run over 70 every day of the week.
I'm running 28's, only hitting around 4500/4600 RPM's. I'll have to looking at moving to 26's, especially if I can pickup 4mph.
Are your 26's Labbed?

Powerboat says 91 GPS with boxes and the 600's
A friends boss has one with 496's with 3lb prochargers running mid 80's I believe,I also have a friend with one with 502 carbs with 5 psi running 97 so far,Majicfloat knows the boat.
I think the 353 rides and handles great,I was with my buddy on the first 97 trip and the boat was very stable.
We had to run his old 311 very loose to get the 80 it did, felt dangerous compared to a 353!!

No not labbed. See why in other thread.

and no you won't pick up 4 MPH going to 26's but you will pick up 300 RPM and like the boat alot more with those engines!

It's alot like the CMI thread. A couple of reputable dealers have reported (and I believe them) having on at least one occasion apiece seen 75+ mph from this combo...

while in the world of end users (owners) 72-74 seems the absolute best this combo will run.

Formula's own test report of this combo says 73.5 two-way ave., light on fuel, 2 people, salt water, with 28's.

that says alot right there about what we are seeing with more everyday fuel and gear load in FW.

I will scan in and post when I remember where it is.

OK then...I'll take an '07 Sport in Gold #3 Montego, Latham, and footrests.

We'll definitely have to dip it in that Alabama holy water before I drag it home.

I really like the new silver and gold #3 graphics and the other changes for '07.

I will PM or e-mail you Robert.
