357 Engine woes...
#1
Now that I am back home for a bit it is time to get a new leakdown test done. If the test comes back positive I will just fix the oil leak on the starboard engine. If not looks like both engines will be pulled. Now I can freshen them up with new bearings and rings or should I change the chargers from the 177's to 8-71's. The list can just go on and on...
Just wondering if anyone else has gone through the woes of what to do. Keep the 600HP engines or go for a little more without having to change the drives and trannies...

Borg warner/TRS the tranies have been updated with carbon clutches. I have two spare tranies that I plan to rebuild with billet components and carbon fiber clutch packs. The outdrives will be the weak link. I do have spare outdrive parts just in case. Konrads will be in the future.

A better blower upgrade might be The Blower Shops 250 charger. Much less height than a 8-71 and can still work with a single Dominator carb for much less linkage and tuning hassel. Joe Murray
