Not to be out done here; but I can remember one day the waves were so big, we had lunch in the trough while waiting to come up over the next one.

No need, If I stand flat footed I can eyeball a 5 footer dead on, a 6 is over my head, and the 4s do not obstruct my view at all. My own built in measuring system.
Need to finish lunch here, need to get back to the office in time for the next wave of work.

I was making that trip back and forth to Henderson, in whatever conditions the day brought, when you were still doing your boating on that flooded farmland that lies downriver.
