And where was the mention of 6 footers? I've been out there in them and bigger, but made no claim to them being that large that day.

Aye cappy! The Lake she was a churning, not fit for man nor beast to be upon her that woefull day. I see a movie script here.

Not to be out done here; but I can remember one day the waves were so big, we had lunch in the trough while waiting to come up over the next one.

No need, If I stand flat footed I can eyeball a 5 footer dead on, a 6 is over my head, and the 4s do not obstruct my view at all. My own built in measuring system.

Need to finish lunch here, need to get back to the office in time for the next wave of work.

that horrible experience must be what keeps you from going back very often.

or is it the idea of having to put that "bucket" back aboard for the Mrs....

I'll forgive your lack of experience on Lake Ontario for causing you to confuse "rough" with "dangerous"

I was making that trip back and forth to Henderson, in whatever conditions the day brought, when you were still doing your boating on that flooded farmland that lies downriver.

I put exponentially more stress on that hull with the Ginger and multi Maryanne's than with that trip...

not to mention those McCleod power seats and footrests should be sold as an adult novelty.
