It would appear that you are correct, minus the beak it does indeed look like a Fountain wannabee, rather Formulaish, don't you think?

Oh, and FYI, some of the most recently built Fountain race hulls have had the beak modified. Has to do with the handling and attitude at higher speeds, like 150 mph and above. But you knew that right. Would seem that the beak is not just there to impale seagulls afterall.
