Default 382 glove box lid

The glove box lid on my '99 382 is broken and replacement is unbelievably expensive (was originally subcontracted out of house). The lid had been redesigned by Formula on newer models and does not retrofit. I am working on having a new one fabricated in acrylic at a local shop here in Toledo. I may be able to have additional units produced if anyone else has had a problem with theirs.

It was broken when I purchased the boat used. The previous owner had it rigged with 950 H.P. blower motors running 114 m.p.h..

The way the latch is mounted off to the extreme starboard end of the lid, it did not hold up to the task. I am going to move the latch to the center where it should hold up better.

Finally making some progress on this. Fitting the two sections today, then we will bond them together and drill for hinge and latch attachment points.
