Bow rail removal on 312
Does anyone have any experience in removing the bow rails, I personally think it makes a nice boat look dated, I do not know why Formula still installs them, just my 2 cents.

I've removed some of the side panels inside my 382 (for another reason) and remember seeing the backer bolts for the rail. Not sure if you could get to all of them though. Also, repairing the gelcoat would probably cost $1,000-2000 to fill all those holes.......and personally, I like the bow rail just fine.

to make your first mate more secure out there, give her something to hold onto, and possibly keep her from going overboard and getting hurt by the boat or dock. to hang fenders from with unlimited fore/aft placement options in order to protect the boats' finish. do you ever go boating or dock in rough water or big wind? if you did, you'd know why they are there and appreciate them. :eureka: how do you feel about stern rails? just my 2 cents. ;) |
well, that my wifes problem on how to hang on, im looking for a sporty look, the things you will do for your boat !
thanks for the info guys |
