I need some dimensions to finish this cabinet. Here is a picture from C Spray's project that I have used to help me with the dimensions. Is anybody able to help me out and get these dimensions for me. Thanks
|
Wow that looks like a great start. Wish I had the balls and the wood working skills to do that. Keep the pics comming.

I finally got her back together enough to take her out for memorial weekend. Still have quite a bit of work to do, but it is looking a little more promising. Here is a sequence of pics of the project as it unfolded.
Here I installed the new headliner and side. |

I made the complete cabinet out of plywood and used it as a template for the final.

This is the raw material (Acrylic sheets) that I started with. I started by makeing the counter top. Used a table saw to cut the material (just like wood) and used the router to form a bullnose on the end. After cutting/routing the edge, then I wet sand the edge with 400,600,800 paper. Then buffed it to a gloss shine.

Here I am showing the gig I make up to use the router to cut the radius of the counter top. This is the black acrylic that gets sandwiched in between.

This is the counter top taken shape and I have reasebled the cabinet on the floor. I use the template to build the top cabinet.
|

Here I am forming the laminet around the radius. It takes alot of heat (heat gun) and time to form this around.

I forgot to point out in this picture that I cut an access door to allow easier installation of the A/C unit from in the bathroom.

Finally back at the upgrade. I will upload the pics as the port side starts to come together.
This is the cabinet coming out and what it looks like free standing. This has become way more complicated do to all the electrical. |
welcome back. what a be-u-tiful job. was 10 degrees here yesterday but this thread warms it up. great job!
|
I had to cut the closet in half to get it out from the cabin... How did you do it? How thought the closet was dropped when the deck was not on the hull!
|
I pried and forced each piece apart and took out piece by piece. couple of the pieces did shatter.
|
Wow Very nice work!!!

Starting to take shape.
This is kind of a crude looking. After I get all the pieces made out of wood, I will then use them as the patten for the white Acrylic. This is real time consuming. I have no measurements to go by. I am using pictures and estimating dimensions and design. You build a little and install it to make sure it fits, then take it out again and make couple more pieces. Before and After pic here. |
Good job Scott, keep the pictures coming.
|
work of art... don't give up!

Quick qustion: How do the couch seats connect to their bases? Dave on the 311's there are screws between the seam in the cushion ....the seam about 6-8" from the front edge... there might be a cpl also at the back of the cushion ( between the cushion and the carpet) ....m |
