I reviewed this boat in great detail yesterday and it is one nice ride. The engines look brand new. There is something about shiny blue paint!!:D
I was thinking you would run faster than 70 but the lake was flat last night. Looking forward to some performance trials! BTW I am available to shoot another video. |

Nice formula.....looks real good for a 95'
You going to take the ST box off? |
venomuous.
i ran it up to 72 and then backed off to a nice 50 mph cruise at 3200 rpm the previous owner ran it for a while with the platform off, but said it was very quite loud. could not talk in the cockpit he put the platform back on two years later and the first time out, his wife slugged him in the shoulder, saying " It could have been this quiet all along !!!!" with the silent thunder, he had it measured at 91dB with it off, who knows. so. we'll see. maybe for our local poker run i will take it off for fun and then reinstall after.... Ramb,
my 336 is out of canada from Double R perf. As soon as I got back home, I had the original 525s rebuilt by Innovation; that is when I had them completely "blued". It came with an eagle trailer almost exactly like yours, but with salt water, I had to get an aluminum trailer. I thought about selling because I have had the boat for almost a year, and most of that time I have been fooling with other stuff and haven't been able to take her out. Now that I been out every weekend for the past two months, she'll be with me for a while (i think). 336s are incredible boats, lotsa power, great ride, strong hull.....Formula name says it. I'm glad you are happy with yours. And it looks extremely clean. those 525s should last you a long time if you take care of them. Your welcome to call me anytime 850-259-8300 and talk boats. Like I said, Im gonna try some other props from Julie at throttle up and see what happens. Mike, thanks for the offer...I might have to take you up on that. JFFPR sounds like great fun. I almost bought a 311, so I know them well. The headroom in the 336 is a few inches higher, but to me the 311 felt longer in the water...??? so whatyado -Jon |
